Civil Defence and Isle of Man 4x4 Club have been out helping move vehicles abandoned in the snow, helping to clear the road for gritters.
Police are asking anyone who has had to abandon their vehicles on main arterial routes to go back and move them if safe to do so.
Most arterial routes have now been gritted and cleared however police are still advising people not to drive today.
A police spokesman posted on Facebook: ’If we can clear some of the abandoned vehicles it will give us a head start with more snow inbound.’

All schools have been closed today and bus services cancelled.
A number of events have been cancelled including tonight’s Christmas Market and festivities at the Onchan Hub on School Road.
