The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has taken to social media to warn of the importance of making yourself seen when out and about as we head into the dark winter months.
They said: ’With the clocks going back one hour this weekend, the already dark evenings will suddenly get darker much earlier.
’Some may say one whole hour earlier! With this is mind we encourage a "be safe be seen" approach to your evening and morning activities.
’It is vitally important that we all work together on this one, whether you’re a pedestrian, walker, runner, cyclist or driving a vehicle. By you/your vehicle being visible it might not just save your life, it could save someone else’s.
’So dust off those hi-vis vests, light up dog collars, bicycle lights and perform light checks on your vehicle. The brighter the better!’
