Manx Wildlife Trust held a traditional Christmas wreath making workshop at Mullin y Carty, in Ballasalla, on Sunday.
Experienced wreath makers worked alongside complete beginners who were learning the basic skills and techniques to produce a wreath to brighten up a front door and welcome Christmas visitors.
Manx Wildlife Trust had supplied the wire or ’moss’ frames that form the base of the wreath and all the foliage, holly leaves, berries and ribbons, along with extra embellishments like cinnamon sticks, dried chillies and citrus slices, pine cones and baubles - everything needed to decorate and personalise a wreath.
The trust will be holding another workshop on Saturday December 16, a Country Christmas themed event for children.
They can join in and learn how to make some rustic Christmas decorations from sticks, pine cones and natural materials.
Along the way they will also find out about the wildlife associated with Christmas like holly, ivy and robins.
The workshop will be at Braddan Church Hall and costs £5.
Booking is essential: contact [email protected] or call 844432.
