Braaid Hall will be alive with the sound of music and poetry as part of the Braaid Eisteddfod.

The competition, considered an important event on the Manx cultural calendar, will be taking place at 7pm on Saturday, March 3, with adjudicators Allan Wilcocks MBE, who will judge music, Dot Tilbury MBE, on literacy, and Wendy McDowell, who will be judging accompanists.

Competitions include hymn raising; recitation to be performed from memory; men’s solo; instrumental solo; stump speech; ladies’ solo; original poem; quiz; folk song; duet; humorous story; quartet and choir.

Admission costs £5, which includes supper.

Note the start time is 7pm.
