I’d like to just say a massive thank you to the total stranger who paid for my lunch in M&S today – it truly was a total act of kindness.

I was standing in line with my lunch on the counter and the lady in front of me very kindly let me through as she didn’t want me to be held up by her shopping going through.

I thanked her very much but then to my dismay couldn’t find my wallet and had no means of paying for my shopping which had by then been scanned through.

The lady, noticing my slight panic said to the M&S teller to put my shopping on her bill and said to me that it was her complete pleasure to do so!

I was totally gobsmacked and went away with my faith in the kindness of humanity restored!

I hope that this lady has another total act of kindness repaid to her at some point – it really lifted my day

Thank you madam – just thank you!
