First this week and a debut EP release for Manx singer songwriter, Jamys Woolley.
The five track offering, entitled ’Turn To Face The Strange’ includes ’Live it Up (Tropical Trees)’ and ’Trust’, all shaped, honed and recorded in collaboration with producer Gypo Buggane at Ballagroove Studios.
The Sam Waters’ film, ’Mad Manx and the Soap Box Derby’ featured ’Live It Up’ on its soundtrack.
Influence-wise, think Echo and the Bunnymen, Captain Beefheart, The Doors and The Velvet Underground, although Jamys sights his greatest inspiration as Bob Dylan.
The EP is available as a digital download for £5 through the Jamys Woolley bandcamp page
