First off this week we head to Jaks Bar in Douglas where two of the mainstays of the Manx live scene appear in their now regular slots.

Featuring a set made up from classics from the likes of The Kinks, David Bowie, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and R.E.M, Ian Thompson and the band appear tonight (Friday).

If this sounds like the soundtrack to your type of night out then you can’t go far wrong.

The following night, Symbollix will then be in residence.

The band, made up by John Ruscoe, George Hughes, John Ryan, Martin McEvely and Stewart Steptoe roots itself in mostly 70s classic rock with a setlist that combines the likes of ZZ Top, The Who, Wings, Bad Company, Whitesnake, Cream and The Rolling Stones.

Elsewhere, following on from their show at Sam Webb’s in Douglas last weekend, this Saturday night sees the boys from 995 head west to The Creek in Peel. The band drop a variety of pieces into their setlist, ranging from more modern offerings from the likes of One Republic and James Bay via Kings of Leon and Stereophonics to older classics from Jimi Hendrix, The Jam, Python Lee Jackson, The Cult and Steppenwolf amongst many others.

The band will hit the stage from around 9.30pm onwards.
