Manx Utilities cannot yet explain what caused the numerous burst pipes in Ballasalla on new year’s day.

In a statement at the time, a spokesperson said: ‘We believe a pressure reducing valve on our network ifs faulty but we are unable to repair or replace it until tomorrow.’

When we contacted Manx Utilities about the issue, it said it was unable to comment until tomorrow.

It is unclear whether the issue has been fixed.
