Marks & Spencer in Douglas has donated £5,000 to Friends of Noble’s Hospital.

Funds raised for the charity go towards helping the hospital secure items beyond what it can afford, from specialist equipment and ventilators to help fight the pandemic, to exercise equipment and even Christmas gifts for patients.

Ross Kitson, store manager at M&S Douglas, said: ’We’re thrilled to be able to present this £5,000 donation to Friends of Noble’s Hospital.

’The charity plays an essential role supporting the Isle of Man community and we’re so thrilled to have been able to play our part in helping them continue their amazing work. We are in awe of what they do, especially during this incredibly challenging period.’

Kevin Kneen, chairman at Friends of Noble’s Hospital, said: ’We rely on the support of the public and local businesses, and their continued generosity has allowed us to provide items and equipment for Noble’s Hospital since 1949.

’We would like to thank M&S Douglas for their charitable donation which will support us in continuing to provide extra facilities and comforts for those undergoing treatment at Noble’s Hospital.’
