An intrepid cyclist is planning to cycle to Nice to raise money for charity.
Matt Hills, who works for insurance company AON, is supporting The Children’s Centre.
The ride will be 2,000km long and start at his front door in Onchan.
He will cover this distance in 13 days (including couple of ferry trips).
Matt said: ’The Children’s Centre develops, manages, and pioneers a variety of community initiatives and services aimed at enabling children, young people and families to realise their full potential. As a dad of four children I wanted to support a charity that helps children and their families - it is something close to my heart and to my employer, AON plc.’
Lisa Motley of The Children’s Centre wished Matt the best of luck and thanked him for his help.

Gaynor Brough, managing director of AON, said: ’We are delighted to support one of our team with their efforts to raise funds for a charity that we have previously supported and will continue to do so.
’We are already in discussion with the charity fundraising team to arrange another epic bike journey in September 2019.’
