Meet the three candidates standing for election at Port St Mary Commissioners.

The event takes place at Port St Mary town hall on Monday at 7.30pm.

The candidates standing in the by-election are: Jill Hamilton, the wife of former clerk Alastair, Norman McGregor-Edwards and Karena Thewlis.

The by-election takes place on Friday next week (August 24) and comes after Richard Ashcroft stood down.

The authority hoped to avoid the cost of a by-election as the board is reducing in size but had no choice after two residents requested one be held.
