The Met Office has issued a weather warning, saying there will be frost and ice in patches this morning.
The forecast:
Today will be largely cloudy and dull with the threat of some patchy light drizzle, but also with a chance that some bright spells may develop across the west of the island. Breezy with a fresh to strong southeast wind and highs of 6°C.
A band of rain will spread across the island this evening, clearing during the early hours of tomorrow morning as the strong south to southeast wind turn to the west or southwest and falls light. A dry but cold end to the night with temperatures dipping generally near to 3°C.
After a cold start to the day, tomorrow will be dry with prolonged periods of sunshine. Temperatures reaching up to 7 or possibly 8°C at best in a light and variable breeze.
Remaining dry and settled on Thursday with sunny intervals and a light northerly wind. Highest temperature around 8°C.
