Weather forecasters are warning about coastal overtopping due to wind today.
But the situation isn’t as bad as last night.
The Met Office’s forecast:
Remaining windy today, with the strong to gale force westerly winds giving gusts of 50 or 55 mph in places. Apart from the wind it will be a bright day, with sunny intervals and perhaps one or two scattered blustery showers. Maximum temperature 9 Celsius.
Tonight the winds will steadily ease to become much lighter, and most of the night will be dry before outbreaks of rain arrive later. Then tomorrow will see outbreaks of rain, although it may become dry for a time later in the day, before rain returns overnight.
Rain at times on Friday, then dry over the weekend but turning much colder.
