The Isle of Man’s Methodist Church will broadcast services online from this Sunday.

As part of its Covid-19 strategy, the church has cancelled Sunday services and other social activities across the island.

The church has said that it has made this decision to help protect the vulnerable and to help prevent any spread of coronavirus on the island.

To allow members of the church to continue Sunday worship, a service will be broadcast on Youtube.

Pastoral care will continue with regular phone calls and people are asked to look out for each other.

After the Church of England confirmed that it was suspending all services across the British Isles, the BBC has announced it intends to air Sunday worship shows on its TV and radio stations on Sunday mornings. The first of these will be led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

The BBC is also currently exploring ways to celebrate other faiths in the coming weeks.
