A mini-roundabout has been created on the main road in Ballasalla, at the entrance to Balthane industrial estate.

Workers from the Department of Infrastructure were on site at the weekend to remove white lines and paint the new road layout.

Traffic from the south now has to give way to vehicles leaving the industrial estate.

And traffic from Balthane has to give way to vehicles coming from Douglas.

Developer Dandara is shortly to submit a planning application for a by-pass between the Balthane junction and Glashen hill as part of a major new housing scheme.
