A charity has held a relaunch event at a ceremony attended by the Governor and the Mayor of Douglas.
The event was to celebrate the charity’s recently refurbished centre and re-launching its boardroom, which is for hire to island charities and businesses in exchange for a donation.
Heather Rothwell, CIRCA assistant manager, said: ’I would like to personally thank everyone who has contributed towards our charity in some way over the years.
’Without this support we would struggle to provide this much needed service to the community. What we provide has changed lives, as it’s given people, who would otherwise have been housebound, the opportunity to get out and about and regain a little independence -getting back to enjoying their lives once more.’
CIRCA is a non-profit organisation and that has been serving the community for around 18 years that hires out mobility equipment, including manual and power wheelchairs, and mobility scooters to the island community and relies entirely on donations
The charity is based in Chester Street car park, Douglas.
