Ramsey Commissioners has been given the go-ahead to borrow a sum not exceeding £566,000 to buy four two-bed apartments at Auldyn Meadows from Dandara Ltd, to add to its public sector housing stock.

This figure, which includes legal fees, will be repaid within 30 years.

There is an eight-year waiting list for such properties.

Lead member for housing, Julia Wedgwood told the board meeting things were moving swiftly and it was hoped to allocate the properties before Christmas.
