This year sees the launch of Ramsey’s ’Big Christmas Giveaway’ of more than £5,000-worth of vouchers donated by local businesses.

Based on the popular ’Santa Trail’ of previous years, the event has been considerably simplified so that all you need to do is pick up an entry form from the town hall, look in shop and business windows to find two lucky symbols, complete the form and post it at the town hall by 4.30pm on the day of the draw.

Prize draws for £1,000 in vouchers continue on December 2, December 9, December 16, and another on Tuesday, December 5, which is late night shopping until 8pm.

Tuesday, December 12, is also a chance for late-night shopping, with around 30 shops expected to stay open.

The ’Christmas Dash’ which attracted more than 40 entries last year will take place on Saturday, December 16, setting off from the town hall car park at 2pm. Entry forms are available from Quay Fitness. Participants of all ages and levels of fitness are welcome, fancy dress optional.
