The Met Office forecast for Tuesday: ‘The odd passing shower is possible at first today, but will quickly clear away leaving the day mostly dry and bright with sunny spells developing.

‘The strong northeast wind will gradually ease during the day, falling light by this evening with highs of 11°C.

‘One or two showers will develop later this evening, becoming more frequent overnight as the wind falls light and variable. Minimum temperature near to 5°C.’
