A special night of nautical-themed songs and folk music takes place of the island next week, ahead of the Peel Traditional Boat Weekend.
The Salty Dogs, specialising in sea shanties, and the Gangplankers, featuring Roger Woodcock, Paul Cringle, Lynne Tootill John and Edith Lewis, will perform together on Wednesday, July 24,from 7.30pm.
The regular Wednesday night music session at the Sailors' Shelter, on the Peel quayside, will be turned into a fund raising evening for the boat weekend.
The evening of music is by donation, with a suggested offering of £5.
