The word is that you can expect new dining experiences with the same commitment to serving local seasonal produce at 14North following new additions to their team.
The North Quay eatery has recently recruited head chef Mathew Berry and pastry chef Irene Forni from Jason Atherton’s Michelin starred restaurants group of London restaurants which includes Social Eating House, City Social and Pollen Street Social.
Mathew and Irene previously worked on the Isle of Man for locally-renowned chef Stephen Dedman and are excited about returning to the island to showcase their well honed talents.
Mathew said: ’It’s exciting to be back.
’We are really fortunate to live on an island with such amazing produce and I’m looking forward to getting creative.’
The new team will be initiating changes to the menu over the coming weeks, featuring new ingredients and demonstrating their technical ability.
Diners will also be able to opt for the restaurant’s tasting menu from late April.
14North is part of the Rock Food Concepts group.
Director, Phil Taylor, said: ’We are excited about the prospect of creating a dynamic and fresh dining experience here.
’Both Mat and Irene have astounding skills in their respective fields and share our vision to create memorable dining in the island.’
