A postbox in Ballaugh has become the home of newly hatched great tit chicks.

The Isle of Man Post Office announced that the Ballaterson postbox will remain closed until the feathery residents fly from the nest.

The birds’ nest - made of moss, feathers and grass - was discovered early last month when a postman went to collect mail at the village postbox.

Residents have been asked to avoid using the postbox.
