If you thought Pantomimes were already full of risque humour and rude double entendres, then just wait for the latest show to open in Peel next month.

The Peel Loonie Pants will put on ’Finders’, their first adult pantomime, at the Peel Centenary Centre on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 from 7.30pm on each night.

Based loosely on the Cinderella fairy tale, Sinders promises to be bawdy, rude, uncouth and done in the worst taste possible, along with being riotously good fun too, with every joke being unrepeatable in polite company.

The Peel Loony Pants are a new company, created by the members of the Peel Pantoloons, who put on a more familiar, traditional pantomime over Christmas each year.

Director Michelle Cain also stars as Sinderella, who she describes as more of a ’Peel girl than Princess’, who lives with the ugly sisters, Ivana and Fanny, played by Andy Whitmore and Laurence Watterson.

Fellow Pantoloons regulars

Tim Keyes, Craig Killey and Mark Briton play Prince Charming, Buttons and Dandini, while the good fairy Hanny is played by Victoria Reynolds.

’It is the stuff that I think many adults want to hear in a panto, things that go way beyond the usual double entendre that you often hear at pantomimes,’ said Michelle.

’I think that if you can imagine something being said, it’s going to come out of our mouths.

’There are a lot of rude bits, a lot of double entendres and a lot more effing and jeffing.’

Michelle said that one of the challenges for the cast has been to get through rehearsals without cracking up at the jokes themselves.

’Some of us have been doing panto here for 20 plus years and I myself have been doing them for 12 years,’ she said.

’It is great to do a show like this with this cast, as we have become so used to hearing it now, we have finally stopped laughing at it.

’It’s great to be doing a panto with this cast with the humour going that step too far, especially with some of the dirty minds we have in this cast.

’We think that we have lowered the bar with this play and that nothing is off limits. But we do have to warn you that it is strictly for over 18s only.’
