Nurseries, playgroups and childminders for most children on the island will need to close during lockdown.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Howard Quayle ordered the instruction to close them during the Covid-19 press conference.

The Government has asked parents to keep their children at home wherever possible, and asked nurseries, playgroups and childminders to remain open only for those children who are designated as vulnerable, or are children of essential workers.

A list of nurseries, playgroups and childminders who have remained open and have places available can be found on the Registration and Inspection Unit section of the Government website and will be updated daily.
