More granite obelisks bearing the Manx inscription ’Raad Ny Foillan’ have now been erected on the coastal footpath.

A row erupted when the first marker erected in Port Erin showed the English translation ’Way of the Gull’ inscribed in larger writing than the Manx, written in smaller italics beneath it.

This has since been reversed, with the further obelisks - in Peel, Ramsey and Onchan - all featuring the Manx name inscribed in larger letters above the English equivalent.
