Consumer watchdogs are warning the public about lights sold by B&Q.

The Office of Fair Trading’s latest message comes after it warned about problems in February, which highlighted problems with certain models..

More lights have been found to be affected.

This mostly affects a range of ceiling-mounted lights, but also includes certain free-standing and table-top models.

The lights affected were offered for sale between February 2014 and February 2017.

They have a cast metal lamp shade ring.

The lamp shade ring may fracture in some circumstances and this could lead to the shade falling from the fitting.
