Hundreds of beach worshippers, marine enthusiasts and anyone with the desire to get themselves soaked headed to the seaside last weekend for the Port Erin Beach and Sea Festival.
There was a packed line up of events to take part in, including sand castle competitions, food and craft stalls, and a range of beach sports competitions, involving beach football and kite flying.
For the more adventurous, there was a dinghy race in the bay, and there was also the chance to have a go on a huge water slide, which soaked the users to the skin as they hurtled down the Port Erin slipway.
Saturday saw a ’Scrufts’ dog show and competition, which saw Lene the spaniel walk away with the prizes for ’best in show’ and also the ’prettiest’ dog, with the awards collectedby owner Larissa Williams and daughter Aalish, two.
Manx Wildlife Trust had a series of touch tanks on show, displaying the marine life that exists in the waters around the island.
