Thespians with a competitive edge have until the start of December to decide if they are going to enter either of the island’s two main play festivals.
The deadline is December 1 for entries to the 2019 one-act play festival and Easter festival, the Manx Amateur Drama Federation (MADF) says.
The one-act play festival, on February 13 to 16, is open to individuals and play groups throughout the island and UK and the plays can be self-penned or from a publishing house.
The adjudicator will be Chris Baglin, who is a member of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators (GODA).
The Easter festival will run from Saturday, April 20, to Friday, April 26, at the Gaiety Theatre.
The full-length plays will be adjudicated by GODA member Jill Colby, who has adjudicated throughout the UK. Teams are invited to take part not only from island, but also from elsewhere in Europe.
The Young Actor of Mann competition is open to people between the ages of 13 and 18. The first round of the competition takes place on Sunday, February 17, at the Studio Theatre, Ballakermeen High School, and will also be adjudicated by Mr Baglin. Entries for this competition must be received by Friday, January 4, 2019.
The Young Actor of Mann final will be on Easter Monday afternoon, April 22, at the Studio Theatre, Ballakermeen High School, and will also be adjudicated by Jill Colby.
The Friends of Manx Drama lunch will take place on Tuesday, April 23, at the Empress Hotel.
