Internationally-known organist Professor Ian Tracey will visit the island to perform a free concert on Friday.
Professor Tracey will perform popular organ music at St Matthew’s Parish Church on North Quay in Douglas, starting at 7.30pm.
The organ at St Matthew’s Church is said to be one of the finest instruments in the island and Professor Tracey has toured widely in the UK, Europe and Australia, playing at many major venues. He is also a frequent broadcaster on the BBC and has made numerous CDs and other recordings.
He is an examiner and adjudicator and was made organist at Liverpool Cathedral in 1980. He has conducted the Liverpool Philharmonic in some 250 concerts.
