Outdoor trades and construction are allowed to resume from today [April 6].
Vacant premises can now have two workers with one worker per room or enclosed space.
The government has said that workers outside must maintain a distance of 2 metres from others, and that it is ’strongly recommended’ to wear a face covering.
Garden centres have also reopened, with social distancing and the recommendation to wear a face covering.
The Manx Earnings Replacement Allowance [MERA] government support scheme has been extended to April 26, at a rate of £230 per week.
And the Salary Support Scheme, which currently provides £310 per employee per week to businesses, will continue through to the end of May to support businesses that are transitioning back to full capacity.
