Peel Charity Shop has made a series of charitable donations in an event at Peel Golf Club.

Sixteen charities each received donations of £2,500.

Tony Quirk, representing the Peel Coal Fund, said: ’You all do a great great job and it is genuinely appreciated. Thank you for thinking about us.’

Peel Charity Shop chairman Pat Costain said: ’We have done really well during lockdown and we really appreciate the donations we have received from the people.’

The charities that received donations were: Rob Vine Fund, Manx Stroke Foundation, Autism in Mann, Peel and Western Anti-Cancer, Western Live at Home, Victim Support, Isle of Man Foodbank, Care in Mann, St John Ambulance, Peel Coal Fund, Graih, IOM Alzheimer’s Society, Women’s Aid, British Legion Poppy Appeal, Salvation Army, Peel Centenary Centre.
