â?¢ Tromode could be set to gain a skate park if an application (19/00118/C) by The Shred House is approved.

The application is seeking to convert Unit 3 of the Clucas Estate on Carrs Road in Tromode to an indoor skate park.

The Shred House say that with over 4,000sq/ft of space, it would provide room for ramps for skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes.

Shred House has also indicated that while it would be open as a non-competitive venue, it hopes to hold annual competitions.

â?¢ An application (19/00104/B) has been submitted by Isle Learn Ltd to convert an industrial unit to enable storage and maintenance of medical equipment and the creation of training facilities.

The application is for Unit 2, Block D at Eden Business Park in Douglas.

If approved, the company say it will allow them more room for storage and large training facilities.

It will also be able to display medical equipment to allow consumers greater opportunity to understand the equipment and have a wider choice.

The company has operated from the adjoining Unit 1 since 2018.

â?¢Jonathan and Dawn Ashall, along with Caroline Rowley, have applied (19/00111/B) to convert a barn at Ballaqueston on Malew Road in Ballasalla to create more living accommodation.

The application is seeking to convert the barn and would include the necessary modifications to allow for occupation.

They are also seeking to make alterations to the current house which would see the replacement of the existing glass porch with a ’traditional porch’ and the modification of some windows.

Finally, they are looking to replace an existing container with a boat house.

It is stated they plan to use natural materials on the work including a slate roof.

â?¢The owners of The Rheast Ltd have applied (19/00114/B) to create vehicular access to field 514242 on land adjacent to The Rheast, Rheast Road in Santon.

It is said in the application that the entrance would provide access for maintenance and use of the site.
