A proposal to convert office space into flats has been submitted to government planners.
The application (20/00136/B) for 12-14 Ridgeway Street, Douglas, was made by Colby-based company Victoria Street Properties Ltd.
The company wants to convert the office building to create eight flats over four floors, with storage space in the basement.
Each of the ground floor flats would have one bedroom, kitchen, living space and bathroom with shower.
These flats would measure 49 and 42 square metres.
The difference in size is the same on the upper floors with flats three, five and seven showed as 72 square metres and four, six and eight 53.
The odd numbered flats are detailed as containing two bedrooms while the even numbers have one.
All the upper level flats are shown with kitchens, separate living spaces as well as bathrooms which unlike the ground floor flats, contain baths rather than showers.
The seven storage spaces in the basement are shown as ranging from 11.2 square metres for the smallest up to 18.8 square metres for the largest.
Middle MHK Bill Shimmins has previously called for office space and brownfield sites in Douglas to be used for housing to rejuvenate the capital.
