Island Tyres and Autocare, on South Quay, is applying for permission (22/00115/D) to install a 4.8- x 2.5-metre digital advertising billboard.
The technology first made an appearance in the island back in 2018, when the rollout of digital billboards around Douglas was funded by the Isle of Man Government Enterprise Development Scheme (EDS).
Advertising displayed would be both related and unrelated to the business, and a statement says that as the signs will be the same type as those used at the Sea Terminal, there would be no road traffic issues with these either.
