Ruatapu Limited is applying for permission (22/00034/B) to build nine new private garages and two bike stores in Onchan.

Michael Weldon already owns and rents out 22 private garages at the site, which is at the corner of Lhon Dhoo Close and Lhon Vane Close and accessed via Bemahague Avenue.

The garages are currently rented out on a long-term basis, and while the 12 parking spaces on the site had also been previously rented out, these became ’difficult to securely manage’ and the owner had been left with abandoned vehicles.
