Police want to trace the owner of a dog that ran into the road and hit a car.

A cream coloured dog, possibly a Labrador, ran into the carriageway and into side of a dark grey Kia 4x4 as it drove along Castletown Road, Port Erin.

The driver’s door was damaged in the collision which took place between 5.30pm and 5.50pm last night (Saturday) near to the Edremony estate.

Following the collision, the dog was picked up by people in a large silver 4x4 type vehicle. The condition of the dog is not known.

Police would like to identify and speak to the dog owner.
