A policewoman crashed her car into a field in Sulby after sharing four bottles of wine with a friend.
Chloe Keegan, of Marsden Terrace, Ramsey, who resigned from the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team after the incident, was sentenced to 200 hours’ community service by Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes today.
She was also banned from driving for six years, must retake her test at the end of the ban and attend a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
Keegan, who is 41, failed a breathalyser test with a reading of 96 - the legal limit is 35.
