The Manx government says that the re-introduction of lockdown in England will not mean there will be any changes for the Isle of Man.

Last night the UK’s prime minister, Boris Johnson, announced that England would go into lockdown on November 5.

A tweet from the Manx government reads: ’There are no immediate changes to any Covid-19 restrictions in the Isle of Man following yesterday’s announcement that England will go into lockdown on Thursday 5 November.

’The Council of Ministers will meet this week to discuss recent developments in England.’The government posted on Facebook: 'The announcement follows similar action taken in the other nations of the UK, such as the “firebreak” in Wales announced on October 19. The Isle of Man remains on level 4 of the borders framework.  'The government continues to closely monitor virus levels in neighbouring jurisdictions.'
