The Card Factory will reopen its doors in a former shoe store in Douglas.

During lockdown the card store closed its Strand Centre shop.

However, Sandpiper Ltd, which owns the brand, has applied for permission to install signage on the former Shoe Zone store at 1-3 Strand Street Douglas.

If approved by planners, the signage will adorn the store front and the side which runs up Drumgold Street towards M&S. As well as the frontage, the application (20/00801/D) shows that the company intends to erect an fixed sign on a ’traditional bracket’ hanging.

No opening date is given for the store, however an online posting for jobs by Sandpiper says it is ’coming soon’.
