A political committee is inviting people to have their say about the proposed new education law.

It consists of five MHKs, Jason Moorhouse (chairman), Ann Corlett, Lawrie Hooper, Bill Shimmins and Chris Thomas.

It is inviting written submissions about the Education Bill 2020.

Then it intends to offer an additional opportunity for some witnesses to give oral evidence in September.

Its scope of inquiry relates to the Bill before the House rather than to issues relating to education generally.

Submissions should be sent to Roger Phillips, Clerk of the Committee, Legislative Buildings, Douglas, IM1 3PW or email: [email protected] by Friday, August 7.

The committee should report in October.
