Government funding of £50,000 is being offered for a voluntary sector organisation to help to publicise international development issues.
The Cabinet Office is inviting applications for an international development education, awareness and strategy grant.
Applications opened this week and close on September 6.
The grant will be awarded to an Isle of Man registered organisation or partnership to carry out a programme of activities that encompass the three main objectives of the scheme.
The Minister for Policy and Reform, Ray Harmer MHK, said: ’I’m very pleased to announce details of this year’s grant funding stream.
’We appreciate the excellent work carried out across the developing world and, as a responsible island, remain committed to playing our part through international development to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
’This specific grant will address the government’s policy objective of raising awareness of global development issues throughout the Manx population.’
