A committee tasked with investigating options to encourage development on unoccupied urban sites rather than greenfield sites in the countryside will hear evidence next week.
The committee, chaired by Bill Shimmins MHK, with Chris Robertshaw MHK and Marlene Hendy MLC, will quiz Douglas Council, planners, as well as representatives from the Cabinet Office and the Treasury.
The hearings will be held in the Legislative Council chamber from 2.30pm on Monday, June 11.
The first session will be the leader of Douglas Council David Christian and Chris Pycroft, assistant chief officer for regeneration.
Following them at 3.15pm, Caldric Randall, financial controller, Paul Martin, the deputy assessor of income tax, and Andrew Sidebottom, acting head of valuation and asset management, will give evidence.
Finally at 4.15pm, Minister for Policy and Reform, Chris Thomas MHK, planning policy manager Diane Brown and director of planning and building control Jennifer Chance will appear before the committee.
