The Isle of Man Green Party is holding its third ever Green Conference.

It is open to the public and the Green Party wants to raise the profile of the expertise, knowledge, and the inspiring individuals in the Isle of Man.

It also wants to highlight issues such as building better homes, the importance and value of wellbeing, transforming politics and decarbonising the island’s churches.

Party leader Andrew Langan-Newton said: ’After two successful Green Conferences in 2019 and 2020, the Green Party this year has four passionate and engaging speakers on important and highly relevant topics to inform a sustainable future for the Isle of Man.’

The Green Conference is free to attend, and no ticket is required.

It will take place Saturday, November 20, at the Masonic Hall, 17 Stanley Road, Peel IM5 1AW.

Immediately before the Green Conference (at the same venue), the party is hosting a lunch raising money for the food bank.

The agenda includes:

3pm: Julia Erskine, who will talk about building regulations.

3.30pm: Dr Henrietta Ewart, the director of public health, who will talk about the value of wellbeing

4.10pm: Keiran Hannifin, who stood unsuccessfully in September’s general election, will talk about this time as a political outsider.

5.40pm: Dr Henry Uniacke, who will cover zero-carbon churches.
