Voters in Douglas South will get a chance to quiz by-election candidates at a requisition meeting tonight (Thursday).
With a week to go before the poll, tonight’s public meeting takes place at Scooil Vallajeelt on Meadow Crescent, starting at 7pm.
It will be chaired by Douglas Mayor Jon Joughin.
There are 10 candidates vying to fill two seats left vacant following the death in February of government Minister Bill Malarkey and the resignation from Tynwald last month of Kate Costain.
The by-election takes place on Thursday next week (August 27).
At tonight’s meeting, candidates will have the opportunity to present themselves to the voters and answer questions.
Forms to submit written questions will be available on the evening.
As seating is limited at the venue, members of the public are asked to bear in mind that the meeting has been arranged for those living in the South Douglas constituency.
The candidates standing in the by-election are Anthony Allen, Pamela Birnie-Malarkey, Claire Christian, Ian-James Clanton (aka HM The Sole), David Fowler, Andrew Jessopp, Michael Josem, Kevin Oliphant-Smith, Lon Pinkerton and Paul Quine.
