Michael commissioner Avril Muller wants to be re-elected.

She was elected to the board unopposed in November last year.

All the seats on all 21 local authorities are up for grabs on July 22.

In his Isle of Man Examiner column this week, former MHK and Douglas councillor David Cretney expressed concern about how few people had announced they were standing.

Candidates have until June 29 to announce they are standing.

It is possible that the local authority elections - delayed from last year because of the pandemic - have been overshadowed by the House of Keys general election, which will take place two months later.
