The minister in charge of housing has pledged to put a new strategy before Tynwald this year.
It comes after a campaign from Lawrie Hooper (LibVannin, Ramsey) for an updated version of the 2013 housing strategy to be put before Tynwald for endorsement.
He went back to the matter again in the House of Keys on Tuesday, asking Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer when he would do this.
Mr Harmer said an update given in March last year demonstrated his department ’continued to deliver on the high level policy and strategic aims of the original housing review’.
But he added: ’Given that five years have elapsed since the original review, it is time for my department to come back with a renewed vision on housing policy direction and I am committed to doing so by the end of the calendar year.’
