Nominations open for the Legislative Council vacancy tomorrow (Wednesday).

The final date for MHKs to put forward their nominations, to fill the vacancy caused by Tony Wild’s resignation, will be May 5.

If an election is necessary it will take place on May 18.

Speaker Juan Watterson made the announcement this morning after the Keys approved changes to Legislative Council election procedures.
