Onchan Commissioners chief executive and clerk Linda Radcliffe is currently absent from her post.
The Courier understands that earlier this week she was suspended pending an investigation for misconduct, following allegations of bullying.
When we contacted commissioners chairman Derek Crellin, he refused to comment, referring instead us to vice chairman Martin Macfarlane.
Mr Macfarlane could only confirm that: ’Mrs Radcliffe will be absent from the office until further notice, and to comply with our duty of confidentiality no further details can be given at this time.’
Mrs Radcliffe took up the post in November 2018.
She replaced Michael Morrison, who was sacked in 2017 before an employment tribunal was settled out of court.
