The Liberal Vannin Party is to hold its annual general meeting on Sunday (March 25).
It will take place at the Manx Blind Welfare Society’s building, Corrin Court, Heywood Avenue, Onchan.
The event will begin at 10am and, at 10.30am include a talk by Mark Solly, the former assessor of income tax.
In October last year, Mr Solly featured in a front page story in the Isle of Man Examiner advocating big changes in the tax system.
He urged the Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan to set up a working party or commission to devise a ’coherent, meaningful and, above all, fair tax strategy for the future’.
The party’s annual meeting, which is the first since its leader Kate Beecroft lost her job as Health and Social Care Minister, is open to everybody.
But only paid-up members of the party can vote on motions, which will is on the agenda from 11am.
The party has two MHKs in Tynwald.
