Policy and Reform Minister Ray Harmer has fenced off Tynwald questions from the man he replaced.

Chris Thomas (Douglas Central), who was sacked from his role as Policy and Reform Minister earlier this year, lunged in on his successor by asking if he would publish the Public Service Reform Progress Report, which was finalised by the Council of Ministers’ single legal entity subcommittee at the end of last year.

He posed a similar question about the Review of the Regulatory Framework.

But Mr Harmer was en garde against the attack.

In a brief riposte, he stated: ’Neither of the reports referred to in the question, which were led by my predecessor, can be considered as final works with formal approval, sign off or approval by Council of Ministers.

’As such it would not be appropriate to publish these works in progress.’
